IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?
Yes, there is a weight limit of 100kgs / 220lbs / 15.5 stone for every tandem passenger.
WHAT IS OUR REFUND POLICY?
We are lucky to be in one of the sunniest spots in New Zealand. Don’t worry about the weather. We will make a weather call an hour prior to your booking and if we cancel due to weather you will get a FULL REFUND if you are not able to reschedule your jump.
Please choose carefully, as we do not refund if you change your mind. If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.
You must notify us at least 12 hours prior to your booking time to be eligible for a refund.
- Please purchase carefully, the purchase of a voucher signifies that a contract has been entered into by both parties to provide the service or product stated on the voucher only up until and including the expiry date stated on the voucher.
- Vouchers are transferable but are not refundable except with prior notification for an acceptable valid reason.
- Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Valid reasons for cancellation and refund include:
- Medical disablement
- Compassionate circumstances
- Skydive Abel Tasman discretion on safety grounds
Note: To qualify for a medical or compassionate refund the candidate must advise Skydive Abel Tasman Limited by email, email@example.com of the reasons for wanting a refund prior to the voucher expiry date
HOW LONG WILL THE EXPERIENCE TAKE?
We suggest allowing 1.5‐3 hours for the experience however sometimes it can take longer. This can depend on our busy summer season, large groups and the weather. If you are on a schedule, please let us know and we can advise you.
CAN I BRING PEOPLE WITH ME?
Absolutely! We love people‐the more the merrier. We have seating and tables available and you are welcome to bring snacks or lunch. If this is a special occasion, please let us know. For our courtesy shuttle, please check on availability as we have a limited number of seats.
CAN I TAKE A GOPRO WITH ME?
Unfortunately at this stage it is not possible for tandem passenger to take a GoPro or any other recording devices on a tandem skydive. It is a company safety policy that is incorporated in our exposition that is required by the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?
Parental or guardian consent is required for anyone under 18. Children under 12 should be evaluated on an individual basis. We encourage people of all ages.
WHAT IF I WEAR CONTACTS OR GLASSES OR HAVE FALSE TEETH?
You will be fine keeping your contacts and glasses on. We let you determine whether or not to remove false teeth. People do scream for joy a lot.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Comfortable clothing for the season and shoes that won’t fall off.
CAN I EAT BEFOREHAND?
In general, it is better to have something in your stomach and eat beforehand. However some people may be susceptible to stomach upset and/or motion sickness from all the excitement.
WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
We'll make a weather call an hour before the event and notify you of any delays or cancellations. We may delay due to wind altitude, wind on the ground, heavy cloud or rain.
CAN I USE YOUR SHUTTLE SERVICE?
Absolutely! Our free courtesy van is available from Nelson through to Kaiteriteri and Marahau according to booking times. Please check with us for pick‐up times and locations.
WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO BE THERE?
Just arrive at your booking time.
WHERE DO WE LAND?
You will land in front of our building. The landings are generally very soft.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO SKYDIVE?
It is always a good time to skydive! The light is different in the morning and afternoon or evening - but it's all good. We are open every day of the year except Christmas Day, weather permitting.
WILL I DIE?
Yes one day you will. But not up here. There is as much chance of that as being run over by 3 buses in a row. Our 5 star record for safety is the highest around.
