What weather conditions will prevent me from skydiving?
Skydiving is weather dependant, however we are lucky to be located in Motueka, based in NZs sunshine capital, so we often get the best weather in the country. Strong wind and low cloud can prevent us from skydiving, however we will call you if we need to postpone your skydive. You usually don’t pay for your skydive until after you have jumped, so there is no difficulty in moving your booking time.
What height should I jump from?
Your skydive is going to go over really quickly! When you leave the plane you will have a 'sensory overload' so it can take quite a few seconds for your brain to process everything - after all you have just thrown yourself out of a plane! Jumping from 16,500ft will give you the maximum amount of time to get over the sensory overload, enjoy the freefall and take in the beautiful views - You can see the North Island (Mt Taranki and even Mt Ruapehu) from 16,500ft. Believe it or not, its no scarier to go higher! Just way more fun!
How fast will I be falling?
In freefall you will be travelling at over 200km/ph which is 120mph until the parachute opens.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes, as with the rest of the world we have a 100kg weight limit.
Is there an age limit?
In New Zealand there is no age lmit for tandem skydiving. However, we recommend that children be at least 10 years of age - we will asees anyone younger on a case by case basis. Anyone skydiving below the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to accompany them.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and closed shoes (i.e running shoes, not hiking boots). If it is a cold day, plese wear lots of layers. We will supply you with jumpsuits to cover your clothes, goggles, gloves if its cold and helmets.
What if I wear contact lenses or glasses?
This is not a problem. For those wearing glasses, we will supply you with custom made goggles.
Can I bring spectators?
Definitely! We have an amazing viewing deck, tea & coffee, internet and lots of open grassy space.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept NZD cash, NZ Eftpos, Visa, Mastercard and NZD Travellers Cheques. All payments are taken after you skydive.
