What is the Traffic Light system? 

The Traffic Light system, also known as the COVID-19 Protection Framework, is the Government’s approach to managing COVID-19 in the community. It came into effect on 3 December 2021.

What is happening with Skydive Abel Tasman? 

New Zealand is in the Red setting of the Traffic Light system from 11:59pm on Sunday 23 January. All of our drop zones including Skydive Abel Tasman are open and operating under the Red setting.

Vaccination Passports

INFLITE Group shared experience flights & skydives are considered close contact and therefore as per government guidelines we are required by law to check passenger vaccination status under certain levels of the COVID-19 Protection Framework.

To enable us to continue to work seamlessly with our activity partners, INFLITE Group has made the decision to carry only fully vaccinated passengers on shared experience flights from December 3, 2021. Masks will continue to be required on all flights and transfers. We are committed to providing a safe operation for our passengers and staff as New Zealand gets moving under the new “traffic light” system and in accordance with government requirements all of our staff are fully vaccinated.

All passengers aged over 12 years and 3 months are required to present their vaccine certificates for scanning at time of pickup and/or at check in. Failure to do so will prevent you from travelling in our aircraft.

Passengers may also need to present their vaccination certificates to our activity partners. Where a passenger is not able to show a valid vaccination certificate their booking will be cancelled immediately, and in adherence with our 24 hour cancellation policy, they will not be eligible for a refund.

If passengers are unvaccinated, they may charter an aircraft exclusively as one group or “bubble” provided they are able to produce proof of a negative test taken within 72 hours of departure.

However, they may not be able to access partner activities. We look forward to the business summer period and welcome you to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Cleaning

We have increased our cleaning protocols in all areas of our businesses and will ensure all frequently used areas are regularly cleaned and sanitized as per New Zealand health department guidelines.

Physical Distancing

Physical distancing can be difficult, especially when travelling or doing activities. To assist in the process of physical distancing, we have installed signage at all locations so you know exactly how far away you need to be from other people. Our check-in areas have been assessed for maximum capacity, adhering to social physical distancing guidelines and we will be strictly complying with these measures.

Hygiene

Sanitizer & face masks will be available at all areas of our business.

Staff will wear protective clothing wherever possible (gloves, helmets, masks).  Face masks are available to team members and customers who wish to wear one on the ground or during their skydive.

We are also proudly COVID CLEAN approved by QUALMARK.
